Problem Statement
As per the government policy in India, updated on October 1, 2022, businesses that have a turnover of more than Rs 10 crore in a financial year have to make their invoices e-invoiced. Also, they have to show an e-way bill while transferring goods exceeding the value of Rs.50,000. Many businesses find it difficult to generate e-invoices and e-way bills manually by collecting all the details and entering them into different systems.
Being the leading wholesaler of nuts and dried fruits with various subsidiaries and business processes, they find it troublesome and tedious to generate each e-invoice and e-way bill by manually entering data and printing and uploading it into various systems.

What we Suggested
The experts at Jobin & Jismi analyzed the requirements. After a deep evaluation, we suggested that integrating NetSuite with Clear Tax will ease the processes efficiently as Clear Tax is offering better service in this sector as well as we are the partners of Clear Tax.
The manual process requires taking the number of each invoice from the government portal and entering these details into various systems. But Clear Tax offers the feature of an e-invoicing service.
As a result of this integration, we created a button named, ‘generate e-invoicing’. Further, when we click this button, the invoice that we created in NetSuite will automatically enter the government portal and return in the JSON file format, after getting certified.
Even if there are any errors in the document, we are able to identify them. That is, as the Clear Tax bundle is available in NetSuite itself, we can identify any errors that occurred while entering the details. For instance, if there is any error in the customer address details or any other details the document will not be generated.
If there are no errors in the document and when we press the button the invoice is automatically generated, enters the government portal, gets certified and returns back to us in the JSON file format. At the same time, we can convert it into a PDF file format and download it.
The e-way bill is also generated through the same process but that applies only for transferring goods exceeding the value of Rs. 50,000.
